Digital Product Profit Calculator
If you sell digital products, this calculator estimates the fees on each sale, what you keep, your total profit before taxes, and how many sales you need to cover your costs. The fee numbers are editable placeholders, so please replace them with your platform's real figures. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent.
Estimates only. Not tax or financial advice.

Fee assumptions
These are assumptions you can edit; check your platform's current fees. Defaults are examples, not any platform's actual rates.

How it works
Fees per sale = price x (marketplace % + card %) / 100 + marketplace fixed fee + card fixed fee. Net per sale = price minus fees. Profit before taxes = net per sale x units sold, minus your ad, tool and other costs. Break-even units = total costs divided by net per sale, rounded up. It ignores taxes, refunds, currency conversion, VAT and any fee your platform charges that is not listed here.
Frequently asked questions
Are the default fees accurate for my platform?
No. They are placeholders. Every platform has its own fees and they change, so read your platform's current fee page and enter those numbers.
Why is profit shown before taxes?
Tax rules depend on where you live and your situation, so this tool does not estimate them. A qualified tax professional can tell you what applies to you.
Does a positive profit mean this will work?
No. It only shows the arithmetic for the numbers you typed. Real sales depend on many things, such as demand, refunds and your time, and results vary. Your own time is not counted as a cost here.
What does break-even mean here?
It is the number of sales at which net earnings equal your entered costs. Selling fewer than that means a loss on those costs, and it does not include the value of your time.
